I do not have any concerns about losing my job to Screencasts, but I do think it would be a great way for me to teach a lesson if I was out of the building for a day and to give it to a sub.
No- Although technology is awesome and screencasting in particular is a tool that could 'replace' the teacher, there is nothing that can replace the human factor in the learning process. From the perspective of a teacher who works with very low level students, I know for sure that human teachers will never be replaced with technology; our students that struggle the most need us the most.
